Oprah Winfrey shows off ‘Ozempic weight loss’ in new photo #40

Oprah Winfrey was recently under heavy scrutiny over a road she claimed she had not been able to open during the Maui tsunami warning. It turned out to be a false rumor, and recently, the former talk show host traveled to Italy, where she went truffle hunting. But that she was looking for wild mushrooms was not the story. Instead, Oprah appeared to have gone through an astounding weight loss.

Oprah Winfrey has left television to focus on her podcast and book club instead. A few weeks ago, the former talk show host became the center of attention in Maui.

The island was hit with a tsunami warning, and social media accounts claimed Oprah wouldn’t open her private road on the island for people fleeing the coastline. Many were furious with her, but it all turned out to be false.

Just hours after the claim was made, her spokesperson made a statement, saying, “As soon as we heard the tsunami warnings, we contacted local law enforcement and FEMA to ensure the road was opened. Any reports otherwise are false. Local law enforcement are currently on site helping residents through 50 cars at a time to ensure everyone’s safety. The road will remain open as long as necessary.”

While Oprah continues to work, she is not shy about taking vacations for herself, either. Just days ago, she posted a picture of herself and others in Italy, where she was hunting for truffles.

In Italy and Switzerland, this is a common activity, and in the caption to the post, the story of why Oprah has become passionate about the truffle hunt was explained. It all started with Tina Turner.

She recalled the first time she stayed at Tina Turner’s house in Switzerland, when the legendary singer introduced Oprah to the passion for truffles.

“‘Oprah, do you prefer your eggs with truffles or without?’ That was @oprah’s wake-up greeting from none other than Tina Turner on the morning after her very first sleepover at her home in Switzerland. Trying to be quick-witted, Oprah replied, “No, I don’t like chocolate this early.” Tina burst out laughing—like, a real, from-the-gut Tina Turner laugh;” the post read.

“’My dear, I wouldn’t give you chocolate for breakfast,’ she grinned. ‘Unless it’s in a croissant. I’m talking about real truffles. The kind that grow in the ground like mushrooms.’ That was Oprah’s introduction to the mysterious, seductive world of truffles—and it was love at first bite.”

The post continued, “Since then, Oprah has sought out great truffles wherever they grow, wherever they’re served, and wherever that heady, earthy aroma can pull her in like a siren’s song. And this summer she went truffle hunting in Italy. Tap the link in our bio to go on a truffle adventure with Oprah, all thanks to @sabatinotruffles and, or course, Tina Turner.”

The truffle hunting picture also revealed Oprah Winfrey’s incredible weight loss. She has been openly discussing her weight all her career, and two years ago, she revealed she had begun taking GLP-1, a type 2 diabetes medication that can also result in weight loss, and lost 50 pounds.

In January earlier this year, on an episode of her The Oprah Podcast, she revealed that using the weight loss medication altered the way she viewed other people.

“One of the things that I realized the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people, those people just had more willpower,” Oprah Winfrey said. “They ate better foods, they were able to stick to it longer, they never had a potato chip.”

She continued, “And then I realized the very first time I took the GLP-1 that, ‘Oh, they’re not even thinking about it. They’re only eating when they’re hungry and they’re stopping when they’re full,” before sharing the reason behind her decision to reveal that she was taking a weight loss drug.

“When I announced last January I was like an anomaly, an anomaly in that I was willing to say it,” Oprah concluded.
