Ozzy Osbourne’s Rarely Seen Daughter Reacts to His Death After Being Excluded From Family Tribute #31

Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter Jessica broke her silence with a quiet tribute hours after his death — and following her exclusion from the family’s public farewell.

On the morning of Wednesday, July 22, 2025, 76-year-old heavy metal singer and music icon Ozzy Osbourne died. His family confirmed his death around noon through a statement shared on Ozzy’s official accounts.

The statement said the legendary Black Sabbath frontman was “surrounded by love” at the time of his passing. It was signed by his widow, Sharon, and four of his children — Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis.

Notably absent from the statement was Jessica Osbourne. Jessica and Louis are the children of Ozzy and his first wife, Thelma Reese. Jessica is his eldest daughter, and has long stayed out of the family’s limelight.

It’s unclear why the family statement failed to mention Jessica — while including her brother and half-siblings — and whether it was an accidental oversight or a deliberate omission.

Several hours after the official announcement of Ozzy’s passing, Jessica took to Instagram to share her own reaction.

On her Instagram Stories, she shared a picture of her father wildly gesturing at the camera, and captioned the image “RIP Ozzy.”

Her brother Louis also paid a small public tribute to Ozzy’s passing. On Facebook, he changed his profile picture to plain black.

Unlike Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, Louis and Jessica were raised largely out of the public eye. Their early youth also coincided with some of Ozzy’s most chaotic and self-destructive years, marked by alcohol and substance abuse.

“I was a bad father, an abusive husband, and I had an ego the size of India,” Ozzy recalled in a 2014 interview.

“I spent decades of my life being an absolute idiot. I’ve got so many regrets I can’t even remember half of them. But wives and kids are right at the top,” he explained.

“It’s pointless even saying sorry. I couldn’t say it enough times. All I can do is stay sober,” Ozzy told the Daily Mail.

Ozzy ultimately managed to clean up his act with extensive support from Sharon. They married in 1982, when she was his manager, and her role in his smashing success can’t be overstated.

“She always knows what’s going on,” said Ozzy of his wife in the interview. “I honestly don’t think I could do anything without Sharon.”

With Sharon’s help and encouragement, Ozzy navigated a solo career after being fired from Black Sabbath in 1979. In 1996, Sharon and Jack created Ozzfest — to this day, one of the world’s largest annual rock music festivals.

Later on, with the success of “The Osbournes,” Sharon, Kelly, and Jack rose to worldwide prominence. However, Sharon and Ozzy’s eldest daughter, Aimee, refused to participate in the show.

Aimee did make public appearances with her family during the years the show was airing, though. Additionally, Louis was featured in a 2002 episode titled “A Very Ozzy Christmas.”

Jessica, however, was completely absent both from the show and from the Osbournes’ broader public life. Her understated tribute marks one of the few public glimpses into her bond with her father — a reminder of their deep and complex history.
